 Narc (2002)
IMDB rating: 7.40
Plot: An undercover narc dies, the investigation stalls, so the Detroit P.D. brings back Nick Tellis, fired 18-months ago when a stray bullet hits a pregnant woman. Tellis teams with Henry Oak, a friend of the dead narc and an aggressive cop constantly under the scrutiny of internal affairs. They follow leads, informants turn up dead, Nick’s wife is unhappy he’s back on the street, Henry’s protective of the dead cop’s wife. Nick reads and re-reads the case file, broods, watches Oak’s heavy-handed style, sometimes joining in. The brass want to close out the case, Nick and Henry stay on it, and bits of evidence point them to an auto body shop. What actually happened; will Nick ever know?

This about sum up our current political situation?
Dems want a collectivist state without possessing enough collectivism.
Cons want some weird narc/peer, theocratic craporatist plutocracy.
An libertarians want just a free for all race: Give the fastest runners a big head start though. We don’t want any surprises or upsets.
And we wonder why our best days are behind us.
You are right Dave! since gubmit is controlled by business, why not cut out the middle man like you libertarians want to do?
No – Dems don’t want a collectivist state without possessing enough collectivism.
Where do you get this? We want freedom for all including Cons who are currently being completely fooled by Billionaire lies on FOX FAKE "News".

Libs promote irresponsibility.
Cons promote responsibility.
Libertarians really want to be left alone but that becomes pretty complex in a cause and effect world.

Maybe Dems are trying to slow down the ‘weird narc/peer, theocratic craporatist plutocracy’.

The current political situation is that Americans want Obama to stop piling debt on our children and to stop his lousy ObamaCare, nothing more.

Politics ceased to be functional when (a) it ceased to be a function of heritage – i.e. if you were protestant you voted Reblican, and if you were Catholic or Jewish you voted Democrat, and (b) when being a politician ceased to be a civic duty and became a career option. Politics has become everything about getting elected, and nothing about governing and managing.
